It finds what's there.

Devices are grouped the way they're built — motherboard, memory, cooling, peripherals, lighting, audio. Thirty devices read as easily as three.

If nothing is detected, HARE says so and says what to try next. It never lists devices that aren't there.

Install

One file.

It contains HARE, OpenRGB, the Visual C++ runtime and the PawnIO driver. Administrator rights are asked for once, during install. HARE itself never asks again.

How it works

HARE drives OpenRGB.

OpenRGB already speaks the native protocol for well over a thousand products. It ships inside HARE and runs headlessly, which is why no vendor software has to be installed.

Addressable headers

Why RGB software
looks broken.

A motherboard can't count the LEDs on a strip you plug into an ARGB header. Those zones report zero LEDs, accept every colour, and light nothing. The app looks like it's working. Your fans stay dark.

HARE asks. Any board with a resizable header gets an Addressable Headers panel, pre-filled with 8. It remembers what you set.
